About Me

I currently live in Congleton, Cheshire although I lived just outside of Edinburgh for 14 years. I have always wanted to paint and have come round to it after a long road !

At school we were given paints and brushes with no method which discouraged me. Maybe they favoured the 'acedemic' subjects over the arts.

After the family grew up, I started to find my creative side, making greetings cards, knitting, jewellery making etc. One thing that was common in all these activities, was colour ! I adore colour and mixing it up whether it is in craft activities, or colour cordinating my outfits.

Currently my passion for art extends to watercolours, acrylics and gelli printing. I attend two classses locally which help me socialise with people of similar interests and also help me to grow.

Never say that you can't paint. Painting is great for wellbeing, I certainly end up in my own little world when I paint. Like all things, painting involves practice but if it is something you enjoy, it isn't a chore.
